Cervical Cancer and World Contraception Day Awareness Program

On the occasion of Cervical Cancer Awareness and World Contraception Day, Mian Muhammad Bakhsh Trust Hospital, Dhanyala, organized an awareness program aimed at educating women and girls in the rural community about reproductive health, the prevention of cervical cancer, and various contraceptive methods. A large number of women and girls participated in the program.

While addressing the audience, Mr. Umar Mushtaq Bargatt (Member, Board of Trustees) emphasized the hospital’s commitment to promoting women’s health and highlighted the importance of affordable screening and vaccination.

Dr. Shehzana Imtiaz (Senior Gynecologist) delivered a comprehensive awareness session on cervical cancer, HPV vaccination, and different contraceptive methods, while also addressing and clarifying common misconceptions.

The program proved effective in empowering women to make informed health decisions, benefit from screening and family planning services, and reduce social stigma related to reproductive health.
